Incredibly ugly! I wouldn't put anything like that on my car.

Can you imagine with their current design these tires would collect small rocks and junk from the road in the spokes and then launch them at other cars/people.

The other problem is that even if they do make them with sidewalls it will still be a huge step backwards in the way the wheel/tire package looks. It will look like tires from decades ago where the wheels were 13" to 15" diameter wheels and the tire profiles were 70 or 75. Very Ugly :thumbsdown: :thumbsdown:

My Ride: '04 545iS 6 spd, bought new via eBay, 11/05; Blk/Gry, Cold, L7, PDC, BMW Rear seatcover for pets. First "Bumwa" was a new 1971 2002. High performance 5s since 1987. Beamer motorcycles too, currently on an 07 BMW K1200 GT; also a Moto Guzzi 1000 SP III.

This is about two years old. While they may have updated the details, the concept seems convoluted and complicated. But it also may explain why Michelin is NOT in the RFT segment (spending too much time in the lab). Or they can't make a more traditional design perform up to their standards.

BTW, my Dunlops are beginning to howl at about 6K miles.
