My Ride: F11 -14
On the Frankfurt Auto Show in September, BMW will display what will be a new M1 when it goes into production. But it won't be a big car with a lot of Horsepower, but on the scale of a 3-series... and it will be a hybrid!
This is BMW's new take on performance and eco-friendliness, and it will mean a car with two electro engines (one in the front and one in the rear) that together with a small(er) engine will have a CO2 of around 100 g/km. At the same time, the construction will be light weight and perfomance data reveals a car on par with Porsche 911.
Still no pics of the "M1", but it's based on the "M1 Hommage" car that was presented at last years Villa d'Este.

My Ride: I have an 05 545i. It's a manual with a few options. This is my first BMW but I don't know how I'll ever be able to switch to something else.
^
I do love me that 135i though, I almost bought one but opted for the E60. I needed more room

The M1 has nothing to do with the small 4 seat hatchback currently on sale. It's roots come from the original M1 (built 30 years ago):
