Thanks. And although the media would allow you to believe the US is solidly Blue (Republican), it is, in reality, purple (a nearly 50-50% mix of Democrats and Republicans...) I'll leave it at that so I don't inadvertantly start a rant that has nothing to do with the 530xi.

nice find Argelius...

been trying to gather every bit of new info on the new 06 5's that I can get
my hands and eyes on. my current dilemma is do I wait 6 more months
to get comfort access or do I order a 06 5series now...

One thought crossed my mind so far, lease a fully loaded 06 525i and by the time
lease is up, BMW should be offering everything I'm looking for.

I got a feeling if I wait till September for comfort access, then i'll hear
that ventilated seats option gets offered on ALL leather combinations starting
production on 1/06....

Lets see who you care about when 3000 of your innocent countrymen die due to the acts of some cowardly fanatics. I do not want to extend this into a political thread, but I highly resent your comments.

Perhaps you Euros can assure Americans that you care about the 3000 Americans who were killed by the cowardly assasins of UBL. Your ignorant and insensitive comment above is one of the clearest reasons that the USA is no longer a colony of any European power, nor do we take any "advice" or "instruction" from Europe. When UBL and his cowardly fanatics attack London (and cities in the rest of Europe outside of Spain), you will come begging to the USA, not France (who will immediately surrender) or Germany, for help (just like you did in WWII). At least Tony Blair has the intelligence to appreciate and understand the threat posed by fanatics who attack and kill civilians believing they are going to heaven for doing so, despite the cowards that he leads in the UK.

Enough said -- this is an e60 forum, where the subject of all postings should be the car and not politics!

It appears some of us resent those who don't agree with us and chose to say so. It's not a good day for human evoluation.

Back on topic...the article had the following quote:

To accommodate drivers of varying skill and guts, DSC now has three modes. In between "completely on" and "completely off," there's a "Dynamic Traction Control" setting that scales back the intervention without taking away the safety net.

I thought we already did have 3 DSC modes, non-xdrive, of course. Full on, full off, and DTC only. Is that not correct? The author seems to implying that this is new.

Thanks,

Sam
