I hope this will not happen.
why sell the main heart of the company.
it will make BMW engines trademark look low end of the market.
I think it is wise to keep a this trademark product to yourself and not give it to your competitors.
Please all of you tell me what you guy & girls think of this.

Are you serious? Is there an article that you found? Please post. Remember that GM and BMW are collaborating on Hybrid systems...And also for a period of time didnt GM collaborate with BMW on their automatic transmissions?

I dont like the idea... go make your own engine! BUt then again its always a business move... if BMW can make a profit... they'll do it.

well if BMW can buy Tranny from GM, I dont see why they wont sell Engine to GM, I dont like the idea , BMW is the last standing original Machine, i mean say loads of Mercs are similar to Chrysler and Mitsubishi products, Audi has its common parts with VW with almost same kind of feel at times, Most Lexus's are like blown up toyota's , BMW has been the only one which still remain exclusive ..... not just made by analyst who predict sharing common parts would lower the cost and increase profit and we the consumers buy a $80k LS460 which looks and feels like the new CAMRY lol
