I think that's great Merv. My car is leased, but the low depreciation implies a higher residual and a lower payment. I am very happy with the financial aspects of my car.

Blah... sad that the 545 doesnt hold value as good as others trims... I think the 545 is the worse right now. a "discontinued" trim... and a V8 "gas guzzler" At least the 530 kept the name even after the engine change... and so for those looking for a E60 a 530 is a 530 they dont know the engine size... and for those looking for a V8 they'll want the 550 over the 545... Ok time to lie to myself... "Its ok... you plan on keeping the 545..." HAHAHA "YUP YUP"

Have you actually "seen" an unusual dip in the value of a 545i? I think that are/will be highly desirable used cars. My impression is that your car is holding its value pretty well, but I haven't checked at Edmunds, or whatever, lately. I say "your car" since it is not leased.

I agree. For those who do lease, BMWFS' residual values for the V8's are broadly similar to smaller engined E60's (this was true for both 545 and now the 550)
