Agreed Tim, I have all the functions I use daily set up on my wheel, I'll bet I get in to I drive once maybe twice a week.

A 9 year old can figure it out faster! Its all logical to them.

I was thinking that anyone who goes and buys any new cell phone available today who is challenged by I-drive, will not be able to make a phone call.

i adjusted all my settings in idrive w/i 15 minutes on the day that i picked up my car. i was expecting something reeeeeeeally difficult after reading all the reviews but it was as simple as a mouse click. no offense to elder and female drivers but idrive is probably a little more complicated for them since some of them aren't good at any electronic items at all...even a tv remote . but again, everything is very straight forward. if people are willing to spend time playing around with some self-serve cash registers in wal-mart or home depot, they s/b able to use idrive.

I agree with the above, any idiot who can use a computer can use I-drive. I guess the extra brains we have is the reason we are actually able to afford and buy this car, as oppossed to those who test drive them but can't actually get one.

On the other hand, being a car reviewer seems like a pretty nice job.

I just ordered a 545, but I also looked the new Audi A6, which is receiving some praise. The instrument panel still looked cluttered to me, not as nice as the 5 series.

The idrive issues don't make sense to me, either. It so easy to operate, even a journalist should be able to do it...
