Rushed out to buy Autocar so I could read the ultimate E60 test and it turned out to be a big disapointment. Just a few pages and photo's with std specification listings. I think they just had a quick drive round the block in the B5 and the other 2 were just detailed from memory. They talk constantly about the B5 and occassionally mention the other 2. Not worth the read!

Basically the M5 wins, 535d 2nd and the B5 3rd. They don't like the B5 because it has more torque than the car can really handle.

Autocrap never fails to promise the earth and deliver hee-haw.......why do I buy it??......You'd have thought I'd realised by now.

Echo your sentiments on the 535/b5/m5 bit........utter tosh from memory and they for got to mention the depreciation curve of an alpina...........alpine indeed !!!!
