I think we've already established pretty conclusively that it doesnt

And the first part of your post has left a very disturbing mental image in my mind
He didn't say which petrol engines though

A standard 535D will eat a 530i for breakfast, but in standard form, only the petrol engines from the 530i backwards would be beaten. In DMS form, the stakes are raised & a 545i would be a fair match, the result may go either way, but it would not be a walkover for either car. A 550i would be expected to win, as of course the M5 would.

i also find that on this site, its normally the diesel owners who don't post one is better than the other, because there are genuinly happy with there car
They tend to be STARTED by petrol owners (they must feel scared ) but we Diesel boys tend to pretty much jump in with both feet.

This is a debate that will live for years & will never get settled. Everyone is entitled to their experiences & has their own stories/kills.

If anyone cars to follow my link to VMAX speeds a couple of posts above, you'll see just how many exotic machines i killed in my 4 door Audi saloon

That's a very good point! It's always petrolheads berating... Personally I understand the pro's and con's of both. It will be interesting in 25 years, we'll be 'arguing' about hydrogen vs fission power...
