Here's the press release for the finalists for World Car of the Year.
No big surprises, but I think the omission of the Toyota Yaris is a travesty and the inclusion of both the M and S-class of MB is ridiculous.
Be that as it may, here's the list of 10 finalists:
. BMW 3-Series
. Honda Civic / Civic Hybrid
. Land Rover Range Rover Sport
. Lexus IS
. Mazda MX-5
. Mercedes-Benz M-Class
. Mercedes-Benz S-Class
. Porsche Cayman S
. Suzuki Swift
. Volkswagen Passat

Out of that selection cayman s is the most extroadinary car.
It does almost everything a 'proper' porsche can do for half the price and (IMO) looks lovely

That said, great car and great looks to boot.
Oh, and by the way, the Cayman S is NOT half the price of a 911.

But when I test drove one a while back, the ride was harsh and the noise wa LOUD (curse of the mid-engine layout I suppose). Not exactly comfortable for a daily driver.
