Dude, can I be honest? I don't really care - I'll be honest anyway I don't really think either one of those designs is a particularly great fit for an X5 (especially, after the summers that you have on right now!). Are you sure there isn't another wheel design out there you like for your truckie?
LOL!

I know they're not the greatest and definitely big step down for a guy like me, but these are my winter wheels for cryin' out loud and I'm already spending $2K when it's all said and done (Tires, TPM Sensors, Wheels). I'm trying to stay on the cheap end, while still keeping it somewhat decent. Sure, ordering another set of my 20's and throwing on a set of Blizzak 20" Runflats for $6K is great, but it's for winter. My only other alternative would be to order a set of 18" OEM's which suck.

face it. youre fucked and left with no options cause yoiu waited so long. Just deal with it for 1 season and sell them after this winter. take your time in getting what you really want.

hahahaha! ise was ridiculous today. he asked where you were. yeah, the cheaper ones are only $600. worse case scenario, i just throw them out after the winter and get the other ones for next season.

Well, the way I see it - and I don't know you all THAT well (not like you'd like to, you perv! ) - but I know that by either next winter or maybe even a couple of weeks from now, you're gonna want to get the set that you REALLY like. So IMO you're running a risk of paying twice, because you're trying to be overly responsible on this purchase. Just go on the X5 forums and get a set of used OEMs locally with some decent winter tires - there's gotta be something out there! That's gonna hold you over until you get your shit together and realize that you're not the kind of dude that settles for anything less than the best...

(shit, did I just give an honest unbiased and nice response to a thread??? the hell am I drinking???? )

I almost did just that. Problem is, the tires were awful and worn, they had no sensors, guys wanted outrageous money for them and i still had to have them powdercoated black, which would have been a pain. screw it. i'll go with #2 and then just throw them out next year and order #1's prior to next winter. problem solved.

Actually, if I HAD to pick one of the two, I'd say the second are the better ones for an X5 anyway. Well, good luck with the purchase - hope you get them in in time before the trip and all!

I ended up just going with stock 209 18's for my winter setup. It looks funny. The wheels look so small compared to the 21's. Even my wife said it looks sad.

unless you powdercoat them. did you see kings x5 with the powdercoated 209's? they look like 19's and much better than the silver. you should consider. what did you pay for your 209's?

i got your PM. let me know what garry says. i need to make my purchase first thing tomorrow morning.
