as you all know, my e60 is at the menders as I hit my garage wall!!
my dealer just dropped off a 120d loaner til mine is ready...wow, its a peach of an engine and really quite lively....surprisingly so!
just a wee bit small but I bet the 335 ti will be a real hoot......probably they cannot call it an M1
DD (missing his 530d !)

they do indeed...1 Big problem....With the seat back to fit me (6'3") it becomes a 3 seater and you have to lean forward to see round the B pillar at junctions.

My Ride: Delivered 30/11/04: 535d Sport, Carbon Black, Black Dakota leather, Media Package, Hi-Fi, Rear M Spoiler, Headlamp Washer, Auto dim/folding mirrors, Grad tint screen, Aux input,
I agree the 120d sport was fun to drive, my problem was with the gear ratios. Pull away in first from jnt. nothing, foot hard down and eeeeeeventually the car takes off (poor throttle response?). First then red lines about 20 then you red line again in second at 40! Into third which takes you up to 65-70 before it wants another gear. This still leaves you with TWO more. Six speed gear box seems a little OTT, IMHO.
Ok this is giving it some stick, but around town you are constantly going from second to third.
Hey it was a loaner too- so it deserved a right good thrashing - I mean test drive.

My Ride: GONE BUT NOT FOGOTTEN : 530d SE Auto : Titanium Grey / Anthracite Leather, Poplar Trim, 18in 123 Style Alloys, Adaptive Bi-Xenons, Business Nav, Hi-Fi Speaker Package, Heated seats, Split-Fold Rear Seats
LR DISCO 3 HSE with everything (including 3 kids)
I followed a 120d a few weeks back - she was all sedate until we hit a roundabout with some open road ahead and she booted it and so did I
I must admit the 120d suprised me as although I could easily keep pace It was touch and go for a few seconds
