Sure a little exclusivity would be great when paying 60-70K, but in the end it's still a mass-produced car. The 6 series and 911 are all 80-100K, but I see those all over the place.
Speaking of exclusive cars, I must have heard or read somewhere that the B7 RS4 is being built in limited numbers but not sure if there's any truth to that. Decisions, decisions....

I think BMW learned with the last M3 that it was better to sell more cars at a lower price. I know that in my neck of the woods, M3s are a dime a dozen - they're everywhere, and all manner of young guys have them. Seeing as how the 335i isn't uber insane price-wise, it wouldn't surprise me if the new M3 wasn't too high in price. We'll see I guess. It's not going to be exclusive though - at least not in major markets.

LOL in a way there is a balance...americans get the cheaper cars, they have the cheaper petrol, but they get them detuned and with a high posibility to get them with alot of problems and bugs.

I think the price is great *if* true. The issue I have with it (and I realize I may be in the minority here) is that I would hate to invest in one and see it at every corner. The car would be more exclusive if priced higher.
I'll wait for an official announcement before saying anything else.

3k isnt going to make the m3 more exclusive but I understand where your comming from as I also agree.
I agree - even if $5-7K more, buyers are not likely to be deterred given the M3 is largely an "emotional" purchase and there are not many good alternatives (RS4 is $68K).
