Sweet looking ride, love that joystick. Time to switch to x5
I am assuming this is not the new DSG-like transmission.
When will the U.S. be getting this?
I wish I had enough kids to justify getting one. Also, I like how BMW finally added a third row seat.

I agree! - looks to be the nicest SUV available. (including the very ugly, overpriced Cayenne Turbo S) This is one of the best applications of the Bangle design (aggressive but not too funky).

I have 2 kids now and it looks like I need to get something more family oriented, plus my 2 boxers love to get out of house not in my e60 though . Towing my future jetski and dirt bike is a good idea too, I think it'll be nice transition. Now where do I get the money from?

My Ride: 335i Sedan
called my dealer as soon as I saw these pictures, looks like I might no longer be getting a 530i. He doesn't have too much information on the car either, so I'll keep you guys posted. I'm hoping the price will out be out of my league, unless I'm sticking to the 530i Only 2 engine offerings, no more mid range 4.4! 265 or 355 Hp. The 20" sport tyres on the 4.8 and the rims omG I'll stop drooling right now, best bmw ever Mr bangle I really do salute you.

The 3 litre turbo would be perfect for the new X5....NA 3.0 might be a tad weak IMO.

My Ride: 530d Touring
Model Year: 2007
The 4.8i is now replacing the 4.4i, it uses the new engine from the 550i, 750i etc. producing 5bhp less, an iS willl come later along with the 4.4 bi turbo.
E53 X5
BMW X5 3.0i - 46,200
BMW X5 4.4i - 64,400
BMW X5 4.8is - 83,700
BMW X5 3.0d - 49,050
New E70 X5
BMW X5 3.0si - 51,350
BMW X5 4.8i - 68,700 (replaces 4.4i)
BMW X5 3.0d - 51,900
Being in Europe I would wait for the 3.0d twin turbo and sport guise which should be here by next spring, the sport always looks better and holds its money better too.
