I'm limited to today's Wall Street Journal, but God, this new X5 thing is a mess. It's a caricature of an M Coupe (remember those?) with Bangle Flame-Broiled Flanks, chicken-wired orafices and running boards. And if that isn't enough, the forged-look snowflake wheels are right out of Monster Truck Mag.
Overall it looks much shorter and lower. Maybe it will be better "in person," but in this ad, there are about 10-too-many odd surface cues--hell, scratch that--these aren't cues they are bludgeons. Way overworked; or in their ad tagline parlance, way overscratched. Jeers, Ray Hull |
What?! I'm sorry but i really like the new X5. In fact i kinda fell in love with the design.

Its very agressive, much better looking, jeremy clarkson....well lets just be prepared to what he has to say

It looks very good with the sports package and the 19" wheels. Especially in Space grey. It will have adaptive drive (just like the RRS) plus active steering as options to make it handle better than many cars. (dont think they will be available with the sports package though)
