My Ride: '04 545iS 6 spd, bought new via eBay, 11/05; Blk/Gry, Cold, L7, PDC, BMW Rear seatcover for pets.
First "Bumwa" was a new 1971 2002. High performance 5s since 1987. Beamer motorcycles too, currently on an 07 BMW K1200 GT; also a Moto Guzzi 1000 SP III.
I'm limited to today's Wall Street Journal, but God, this new X5 thing is a mess. It's a caricature of an M Coupe (remember those?) with Bangle Flame-Broiled Flanks, chicken-wired orafices and running boards. And if that isn't enough, the forged-look snowflake wheels are right out of Monster Truck Mag.
Overall it looks much shorter and lower. Maybe it will be better "in person," but in this ad, there are about 10-too-many odd surface cues--hell, scratch that--these aren't cues they are bludgeons.
Way overworked; or in their ad tagline parlance, way overscratched.
Jeers,
Ray Hull

My Ride: 535d (4/05) M Sport, Carbon black, Black dakota leather, Sport seats, Xenon, Navi prof, Hi-fi pack, AS, BT, PDC, Sunroof
It looks very good with the sports package and the 19" wheels. Especially in Space grey. It will have adaptive drive (just like the RRS) plus active steering as options to make it handle better than many cars. (dont think they will be available with the sports package though)

I think its a similar system to dynamic drive but for some reason its called adaptive drive. RRS-Range Rover Sport
