A small M5! Great idea. The M5 always appealed as it's a four door, but the new one is too extreme for everyday driving (15MPG).

A four door V8 M3 sounds perfect.

Yeah... but the new 3 series has such a small trunk, you can't even get a golf bag inside without taking your driver and 3 wood out. I just had a 325 loaner, and had to do this. Not very practical.

As long as the trunk/boot fits my girlfriend hiding from my wife, I'm OK with that.

That's strange - my e46 coupe could easily hold 3 bags. Wonder if the E90 has a trunk mounted CD changer or something that's taking up space back there. Or, maybe it didn't have the diagram that they provide on the E60, showing us how to fit 4 golf bags in the trunk.

I agree that this not an M3 body. I would expect more aggressive body work, black window trim, and front fender vents.

Well... I can only fit 1 golf bag like I have in my 545 trunk... but at least I can leave the driver and 3 wood in.

They were not taking Staff Bags into account when they made the "4 golf bag diagram" picture.

I guess BMW figured that buyers of $60k cars only buy $75 golf bags. On the odd chance that I might actually walk (virtually every course worth playing in HI requires a cart), I keep my clubs in a lightweight carry bag. My kids are in junior golf, where they need to walk and carry their own bags. So, no big staff bags in our family.

Oh good grief people....use the fold-down rear seat and you can fit the golf bags AND the mistress in there.

"Mistress"?

Hey, hey, hey let's use the proper term. She's a female friend or coworker nothing more nothing less...

Will history repeat itself where the New M3 and New M5 will be pretty much be neck and neck at least in 0 to 60mph and 1/4 mile times?

Question isn't the 3 series gonna stay only as a 4-door and the new 4 series will be the coupe version???
