BMW's CEO has confirmed that BMW is working on the city car that has been rumoured for a long time. It's due in 2015 and will have both an electrical engine as well as a petrol/diesel engine. But maybe not in the same car... As a customer you can choose between going fully electrical or stick with a petrol/diesel driven car.
Apparently BMW hasn't decided what the car should be called, even if it should be badged BMW at all. For the moment, journalists guess Isetta will be used, but there are other brands not in production; Riley and Triumph to name two.
