Ok, OK, I wasn't counting the M-car. I guess the new M3 may use a V8, but none had before (right?), so my statement would still be correct. Yes, the M3 is a beast and the new one will be as well, but none M 3-series won't and that will be an option (4-doors) that the 5 series will always have on the 3.

Oh guys don't get me wrong I truely love my 5 and think that it is the best sedan in the world I am just upset about being seemingly short changed on all the features that other makers have and now my little brother has.

I purchased the 04 5 series in Sept. of 03 the first one sold in Richmond Va and was told as alot of others things would be worked out later by Bmw ie NAV, Sirrus, and BLUETOOTH, and MP3 now going on 2 years later i still have niether but the 06 does and now so does the e90.

Not griping about the car just the maner in which it was launched. Really thinking about tradeing up on the new 5 though.

Ya I know what you mean. Its sad to see that the little brother 3 gets a lot more standard features than the 5. doesnt matter if it has to be a 330 or not. even the 545 doenst have L7 as standard nor push button start. Yes one can argue that the 5 came out 2 years before but still... the fact that right now when the cars are over lapping the 5 doesnt have some stuff the 3 does. BMW should have worked over time on the 5 get everything out and sorted to have MORE than the 3 before they released the 3. Lots of arguments but this is just what I thought would be nice.

I'd say the 5er is more unique and overall better IMHO. Exterior kills the 3 with the big wheels and right color. I'd give the nod to 3 with its interior. The E90 seems over priced when fully loaded, E60 owners shouldn't shed any tears about the edge in stardard features.

I still believe that 04-05 owners got hosed on the new engine replacement. Its bull that mainstay of the 5er line gets launched in 04 with an aging 225 hp engine. A cruel joke really.

As someone said, having V8 makes all the difference and its E60 all the way.

I got a test drive in the 330i 6spd and when I found a guy to assume my 545 lease I jumped ship. I don't need the extra space and I really want a 6spd again. The price difference between my 04 545 and the 06 330 is $19,000. The lease money factors shrink that difference a bit but I think I'll have a great car for less money. And yes.....I'll make the sour-puss face whenever I see an E60 go by.
