Mixed review. Loves the engine, brakes, chasis ... all the stuff that makes it a great driver's car.

He hates the styling - interior and exterior. He may be the only one to think so: every other review I've seen positions the 335i coupe as the best looking BMW in a long while. I think so too.

Review.

Hat tip Left Lane News.

Interestingly, he describes the twin turbo as a "normal" arrangement (a la Maserati or Jaguar - a smaller turbo for each half engine). I thought it was sequential like in the 335d/535d

Having said that - still don't understand his other comments about the car.

two fist sized turbos ... same size, typical arragement.... sequenital is only for the 335d... not even the 745d works that way

JC is getting old. His taste in styling is getting more conservative by the year.
I'm very interested in his opinion of the technical side of cars, but couldn't care less about how he likes the looks.

Come to think of it, what is the point of a car journalist to review the looks? Surely that is the only point that DOESN'T need reviewing. (ok, for the blind maybe.. Not that many blind drivers though..)

I suspect for the blind drivers it's totally indifferent how the car looks. However, there's more of them (and faster) than you think.

Guys, to be honest, I don't like much the new 3 series look (E90-E92) <_<
About the 335i engine, what could I say? One of the best BMW engines (until now)

Well yeah, the E90 is an extremely boring design, but what did you expect? It's their moneymaker.
Even the coupe is bland. A4 is prettier to look at for sure.

Bad bad Nickey
The E90 looks quite agressive and very very dinamic even when standing still. The back is indeed a big change especially the taillights, but it grew on me in time. Now i like the E90, of course by far not as much the E60. E92 is a vast improvement over the E90 and they couldn't have pulled it better (meaning having the roots in the E90 but change the design of the car just to give it the coupe look). In person the E92 looks way better than in any pics.

About the engine well...no comment. Really we'll see how many prizes it will win in the following years. I for one ain't that mental about it, but i also didn't drive one to give the verdict.

The E92 looks deadly dont care what JC says he is old and ugly and the only way to attract attention is to talk out of his a..
