BMW chief Norbert Reithofer tells that all X6's (40,000) that will be manufactured this year,
are already sold.
20,000 goes to the American markets.
Some dealers may still have a few cars.

You won't find many posts on the forum saying it won't sell. You will, however, find a lot saying it is indeed an abysmal piece of design. Which it is.
I've seen a couple now and am less disappointed with the the design and appearance but I remain curious as to who will buy it. I don't see the rationale, in the short term it's cheaper than a loaded 550 , if you want the new TT V8 . I have an X5 and I don't see this as a replacement for it or my 550 ............should be fun to see how this plays out .

I have to say, the perfect combination would probably be the E60 wagon with AWD and the TT V8 engine. It would probably need a suspension update (as current E60 wagons in the US market can't be ordered with a sport suspension, the sport pack for wagons right now is cosmetic only) but I think that would give much greater utility than an X6 and would be a great car to own.
