The new MX6 has the TT V8 and is listed at 555 hp/500 ftlbs. This maybe insight into the powerplant of the M F10. No new Grand Turismo 5 here, thought we might get a preview of the new F10 through that.

Thanks for the 411. Maybe BMW can squeeze 600 bhp out of the engine for M5 duty.

That amount of torque is insane!

If thats the case for the new M5, it should be able
to run the quarter mile well under 12 seconds.

Those are 911 Turbo times!!!!!!!

This motor will be a welcome relief. It pisses me off that a $65K Caddy CTS-V can smoke a MS in bot a straight line and at the race course and that a MB E63 is faster than a stock M5 in acceleration.

If the motor is already producing 555 bhp in MX6 duty, there's no reason why it can't tweak the motor a bit and get bhp up to 600.

With this kind of motor, BMW can not only boast that its cars have the best handling in the class but that they are the FASTEST in the class.

I bet the gas mileage will be quite low... but I'm sure it'll be fun to drive.

I can't imagine that anyone buying a M car considers the gas mileage in the equation. Low MPG and high MPH are givens.
