My Ride: 08 550 Carbon Sport Almost everything factory, but no sound upgrades.
I have had a problem with my MINI. There was a hesitation when accelerating from a rolling stop. Kind of like it was a Bowden cable throttle rig with slack in the mechanism. I thought of turbo lag but it seemed just too mechanical.
The dealer didn?t help nor did one of the MINI forums.
Then I remembered that we had a member, who in addition to knowing perhaps more than Rudy about E60s, he also had some MINI experience. I thought he owned several but it turned out he had only had driven loaners.
Well I PMd ?The Puck?. While he was fleeing from a SoCal fire into a mud slide he was kind enough to reply. He referred me to the 25 second reset trick we use on our E60s.
I thought he must have tripped over a blue line, but I tried it anyway.
Some-Na-Bitch, if it didn?t work. It did not completely eliminate the lag but it is very subtle now. My Cooper S has the Steptronic tranny, paddles and all. It behaves quite like the SAT on my 550.

Damn Cal! I was hoping nobody would recognize that address.
I got a damn citation a few weeks back and have to spend some time at Atmore.
I was driving from Cuba back home on I20 and stopped for dinner at the Dreamland in Tuscaloosa.
I had a large bumper sticker that said, ?FVCK OBAMA?. When I get back to the car I saw the citation on the windshield and it was for an ?offensive display? [never heard of that!].
Then I went back to remove the offensive display and found that someone had blacked out the ?O?.

2008 328I Convertible, Sapphire black on beige interior. Premium package, NAV, iPod adapter.
Retired: 2002 325I, Titanium silver on black leather. Premium package. Absolutely stock and proud of it.
