I just saw it on TV and OMG.. can ford go any lower? Have to say it "beats" the BMW X5 in a straight line race by .2 seconds...

OMG another commercial exact same people exact same Edge car and now they brag and say its quieter than the Lexus RX350. Dude... I hate commercials that bag down on other stuff... car or no car. so LAME!

I know what you mean - but then again, BMW itself is running something similar, have you seen those commercials where you see a pack of silver cars (Audi, MB, Infiniti, Lexus and Cadillac) running together, then the BMW breaks off from the pack and the commentary notes that none of the competition has inclusive servicing? Oh that one... the dance one... thats not so bad... it wasnt a direct stab like what Ford is doing... stabbing directly at a specific car specific brand...
That ad was to say everyone else doesnt have inclusiving servicing... not saying BMWs car is "BETTER" than the rest... even tho it is...
That BMW comemrcial is more along the lines of all commercials saying we're better in general in a certain area but not directing it against one specific car. Kinda like the GM commercials now saying Lifetime Drive train warranty... no one else has that...

I also remember an ad by Ford showing that small Linclon with a V8 beating a 540 .The North American auto industry appears to be in a free fall , they should try building cars that make people want to drive and own.

I just realized that on our way to the Mountain this weekend that a Ford Edge was trying to race me in my X5 ! This was really funny, I had 3 bikes on the rack and was fully loaded with family and gear. The Ford had a single driver and kept riding my tail . Since there is a lot of construction getting the Highway ready for the Olympics the passing lanes were mostly shut down. When we did get to a stretch of open 2 lane road the Ford made a passing move so I let him go by. I guess he saw the commercial !! Anyway I followed him for a while and then blew by him at the next safe passing point, he tried to follow but I guess he didn't understand that not all X5s have 6 cylinders. Funny !!
