Here in the UK dealers have taken delivery of Melbourne Red demo 320d sport saloons (sedan if you prefer)ready for the 11th Feb launch.

Yesterday I had a test drive in one, still with some camo over the badges and body creases. The car was a manual with standard suspension.

Initial impressions were that it is noticeably a bit bigger than the E90 and the rear doors open wider so its easier to get into the back. The ride was good but not sporty enough for my tastes - for that you will need the optional MSport suspension although I suspect most people will be happy without.

The red dash trim looks better in the flesh than in pictures and matches the red stiching on the steering wheel and the seats - the car I drove had black leather with contrasting red stitching.

I am still waiting to find out when the 325d, 330d and 335d will be released here in the UK although the F31 will go on sale in September, so expect a launch soon.

Regards,

thanks for posting...

I've configured a few f30's on the bmwusa.com website...I like the two tone interior trim of the sport version versus the luxury and modern lines. There sure are a plethora of options and packages available for it. The last one I configured came out to 55K . I'm very anxious to see how the f80 m3 will come out.....

I still haven't been able to like that front end since I first saw it.

it grows on you, and realizing its an interpretation of the i8 makes it a bit nicer, however, look at it with the Msport kit, its really nice, and gonna be my next ride

Modern designers trying too hard to make a car stand out. Crossing the line for class and elegance.
