Just teasing 700700 - your enthusiasm for your subject seems boundless and as a result you sometimes come over as the 'font of all knowledge'
Your info seems pretty solid - just remember though often BMW don't know what they are going to do themselves. Remember the 4-series coupe !
Historically the 3 (coupe / saloon / touring) and 5 series (saloon touring) have shared engines. Meaning that (depending on how you look at choosing a car) you are effectively choosing an engine then a body shape (or vice versa) what's interesting to me here is that this seems to suggest a diversion with engines available in one car, but not other parts of the series or range.
I don't think BMW could make a bad engine if they tried (even their smaller 4 cylinder engines punch well above their class), I'm looking forward to seeing it in the flesh and it may well lure me back to coupe's in a year or two.
I for one would be interested in a 335 turbo for the 5-series.
Since you seem to have super powers - whats the latest on the new M3 will it have this twin turbo job or something more fruity?

Now here's something just to get you thinking.
At the geneva show BMW is expected to announce a radical new concept, and enter into a new niche in the market, following Audi

assumptions are correct the 335i engine should be carried on to the 5 series so no need
for the 540i ... But then again why would BMW introduce the 4litre v8 when they knew
the turbo would be ready...
So this points to possibly keeping the 3litre bi-turbo only in the e90/e92 and also hopefully
the z4 coupe

I'm thinking the oft-mentioned BMW Z9 concept?
Here's the Audi R8 (with the guts derived from the Lambo Gallardo V10)

Yeah, it's about time BMW did something to counter the Audi R9.

Do you mean the X6, as revealed in last week's Autocar(UK) magazine? It's certainly up market with the CLS-like body on X5 running gear!
no info on the x6 engines. All i know is that it will carry the 4.8 V8 motor

Ahhh yes, the Z9 concept!
A very early preliminary (quite frankly, a photoshop) picture from an earlier post:
Now, that's sexy.![Cool](https://5series.net/forums/images/smilies/cool.gif)
