That's the 3series convertible.

BTW, the new 3series is the E90.

E93 is the new 4series convertible, not 3series!

I thought E93 is the E-code for the 3series convertible. My bad...
So this pic shows (according to the article) the new 3series convertible with a hardtop, whatever the E-code would be.
But maybe the article is wrong and it's the 4series convertible (E93) with a hardtop...
Or (just to make the confusion perfect) is the 4 series the 3series coupe?! Then this would be the E93...

Anyways, I like the idea of a convertible with a hardtop in this range...

Sorry, JDN.
I haven't talked to any BMW guy about this, that's why I am guessing and don't know it for sure...

There is no 3 and 4 anymore. The 3 series will remain the 3 series. Sedans, convertibles, all-wheel drive, etc... no change. The original 4 series (along with the 2 series) labeling was just a rumour and still is.

With the new M3 getting a V8 and 400+hp, BMW was considering putting it in the 4 series. Due to the high profile branding of the M3 and the plethora of numerical car series, they reconsidered and, as far as I have read, will not have a 4 series.

theres still the debate about this one, but the last i read was that there was going to be a 1 and 2 series. 1 being a 4 door and 2 being 2 door (staying with the philosophy of odd numbers to sedans and even numbers to coupes) but because of the high recognition of the 3 series they would keep the name " 3 series " for coupes and sedans.
just what i read so dont trust me a lot on this one
