Autocar have actually complimented the ride. Apparently the test cars were shod with Pirelli Euforias which they believe are far better than the Bridgestone runflats they have driven the 5 on and I quote "if you're ordering a car, insist it comes with the silly sounding but brilliant Pirelli Euforias. They still pitter-patter a little over small bumps but compared to a Bridgestone shod 5 series I drove recently, they were a complete revelation".
Indeed - I read AutoExpress after saying what I did... They too praise the ride with run-flats! I couldn't believe they were Dunlops...

So do the Euforias come in my size? 245/40/18 + 275/35/18?

I found this link about them: Eurforias

Looks like they're currently available for the Mini only... Hopefully they'll expand the range if they're good Maybe they have already because of the 3-series...

From the Pirelli USA web site only the following tire is listed:

EUFORI@?
Size range
45 205/45 R17TL 84V(e)(*)R/F

From the UK site the following were listed:

45 205/45 R17TL 84V(e)(*)R/F

225/45 R17TL 91V(e)R/F(*)

50 205/50 R17TL 89V(e)R/F(*)

55 195/55 R16TL 87H(e)R/F(*)

195/55 R16TL 87V(e)R/F(*)

Does not appear to be a rapid expansion from their start of this product line in 2001.

Traffic condition infomation and the internet service are standard on Japanese market E60.
Displays jammed road and the estimate time of getting through, recalculate the route to
avoid the jam.
Internet service let you send receive e-mail, access web but do not display flash.

That is BMW Online, what is an option in Germany. But this is NOT full internet access. It is more likely a wap access. Only websites that BMW put on their server can be viewed. They need to do that, because of the idrive screen. So, it's not full internet access. Pop3 it has though, for email.

Internet service in Japan is provided through the cellular phone company,
called "i-Mode". alllowing access to almost all web but no flash.
Think the system here is a bit different from what is provided in Germany.
Funny it is, E60s and W211s share the same system through the same company.

By looking those new options in the new 3-series, i think the sales for E60 will drop drastically in the near future... Unless BMW NA do something to it....

Just relax.
The 7series doesn't have AS or HUD...
I think with the facelift of the 7 some options will be added, and then the 5series gets some upgrades, and the 6series too.
Just wait until the 5 and 6series are getting their facelift.
I am pretty sure BMW will bring the missing features.
