And they have just started advertising these in the UK ready for launch on 24th November.

I keep asking my wife is she likes the look of it. I still need to see it in the flesh too.

Have to wait until the auto box comes in March 2008 though.

Just how much room is there in the back??? That will be the crunch for me (or my boys actually).

I know you wont get it in the US, but the 123d seems interesting, 204bhp, 400Nm, 148mph, 7sec to 60 and, get this, 54.3mpg on combined cycle!

That's a claimed average of about 45 miles per US gallon.

Here in the UK fuel is ?1+ a litre which is about $1.90 per US gallon.

Regards,

I attended the BMW VDC Tour in Oxnard, CA on Saturday and they had a red 128i and Blue 128i convertible there. They looked really nice. They did a presentation about the 1 series and they said the head room or shoulder room in the back (can't remember which) is supposed to be about 4" more than the 3er coupe. I can't remember about rear leg room though. I got the general idea that the front room may be a bit smaller than the 3, but the rear a bit bigger......at least in height. Also, it's going to be strictly a 4 seater......so there is no center seating position at the rear.

Regards,
Isn't ?1 equal to around $2 USD? One US Gallon is about 3.785 litres, so ?1 per litre equals about $7.57 USD per US gallon.

Um er, yeah, don't know what happened to my maths...

By todays exchange rate, 7.96$ US per US gallon and rising...

Thanks for your correction!

Looking good, but is it just too small inside?

Must look at one when they hit the showrooms here.

Going to the launch!

Notice the wheels that are standard on the 135i M Sport in the UK are different to other countries. (261M rather than 264).

The link below is from the UK website but shows a German spec car.

Here's some scans from the UK price list.
