My Ride: 545i SE Oct 03 (53 plate) 19" Alpina Classic rims
Just chopped my wifes 116i sport (2 yrs old in May 2007, 16k miles) in for a smaller car so my son could use also.
The stealer gives me ?11,300 (that was the highest of three other offers from other traders)
the car needed a service, but everything else was A1, including the tyres.
Its on the dealers web page the very next day for ?14,450.
Not taking into account the cost of an oil service (what's that, approx ?130 ?) They have put a mark up on of 27.8%
No AUC warranty was required, as there is still 14 months on the manufacturers warranty.
I think this will change my view to purchases in future negotiations with other dealers!
Has anyone else any tales of 'sold to the dealer for x, then up for sale at x+y?
(try to list if the car you sold needed any money spending on it prior to selling.)
Let not try to put us off from buying and selling at a loss tho'

Interesting point. On one hand it's understandable that there must be a premium otherwise the dealer wouldn't be running his business for very long. But on the other hand; what's a reasonable add-on? When I traded my 320i E46 for a 330i E46 the dealer set a 21% premium which I found quite reasonable; after some negotation with a new buyer he'll probably get around 15%.
In less then three weeks I wiill trade in my current E91 325i so I'll let you know how much they will add on on that one...
