Very odd ... had a rear end bump in our first E60, received quotes from the two BMW dealers we went to within a couple of hours... maybe by "finalising" they are seeing how much they can get away with and keep adding on extra little bits.

?2,400 was the quote, of which parts are only ?900, the rest is small fittings and guess what - Labour charge was more than the parts.

It doesnt reall matter, but quite a lot of dough for the insurance to deal with i suppose, for such a small looking hit, yet so expensive.

Glad to hear its going to get sorted. You able to squeeze in any extras? Black-lines / Diffuser painted to match body...?

Why am I not surprised? I get the same with almost every maintenance visit I have had on BMWs. Glad to hear the car's getting sorted though.

Yeh people, Bmw havnt taken the car from us, but will do eithier tomoorow or next week and we get a courtesy car.

We are debating as to weather we should get the rear diffuser painted also

does anyone have a pic of the rear diffuser painted, also as we noticed on the underneath of the car, there is enough space under the rear diffuser, that you can get another exhaust pipe of it, or maybe a quad set up.

Simarlar to the 335i or 335d.

glad its going to be on the mend though.

Check this 335 out (3rd of the way down page 5): http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.p...1277&page=5

There are other M-sports in the thread, so you can really see the difference between standard and painted diffusers. I think its a big improvement and should really be standard on a car that price.
