So tonight, poleposition and I took the X5's out for some fun around town. A bunch of the industrial parks still haven't plowed, which left for lots of fun to be had. We hit up 3 different lots. Check out the LIRR passing by in one of the videos. LOL!

Both of us took our big, summer wheels off this weekend and threw our powdercoated winters on (both trucks have Blizzak LM-25's for winter tires). Traction Control was turned completely off.

Interesting

I have always been curious of how the X5's handled the snow.

Let me ask you X5 guys - what do you truely think of your vehs ability in the snow ?

I currently run a Jeep Cherokee in the winter - the thing is a beast and unplowed roads are truely no problem - the jeep is def tops for traction - but certainly lacks the
'amenities" of the X5.

Providence Leaf - whadda Ya think ????

Great vids. Look like a lot of fun. Those X5s were dominating the snow.

Yep. I showed her when I got home. She knew I was heading out there to have some fun and was all for it. She's great.

I also have a Dodge Durango (which is identical to the Jeep) too and I have to tell you that my X5 handles amazing in comparison. Both trucks plow through untracked snow without any issues. I'm heading up to our house in Vermont this weekend and will be putting the X through the test. Keep in mind though, these video's had traction control completely off. Not even DTC. Once I re-engaged traction control in the deep stuff, the truck handled like a dream. Wherever I would point it, it would go. Can't beat it!
