Just got the E83 yesterday - miss not having iDrive - decided to retrofit a DVD, GPS aftermarket solution - the DAUF 7000 - single DIN retractable touchscreen solution.

Still work in progress will post pics along the way
installer has to fabricate a hood/housing to cover the new HU

That's one of the cleanest aftermarket installs of Nav I've seen. Excellent work.
