The headline pretty much says it all. BMW did very well last month. It sold 26,409 vehicles, which is a 9.8-percent increase (and a company record for July) compared with the number of units driven off dealer lots during the same time last year.

"Year-to-date, the BMW brand is up 11.7 percent on sales of 183,791 compared to 164,474 sold in the first seven months of 2013."

Even purchases of certified pre-owned and pre-owned Bimmers were up in July - by 12.6 percent (compared with July of last year).
