uhmmmmm why would I pay so much incredible money for this? Not really amazing numbers up there for the sky rocket price. Why do not get 535D instead?

The Alpinas are great cars. I want a B3. It is has been deemed the gentleman's M5--for about the same price. I strongly prefer it's supercharged V-8--500 HP and about the same amount of torque.

Not bad but surely the D3 should have a 6-cylinder engine???
[/quote]
One has bare in mind that the diesel engines with small ci's are easy to
turbo charge and program to high torque's and hp's.
The diesel's are not that keen on fuel either even if you tickle high powers
from them.
A diesel engine is simply more energy efficient than an gasoline engine.
The engine high-tech is now going for diesels and bi-fuels and the more cylinders
you have in your engine the more energy it will need.
That's old school but remeber that the oil supply will not last forever....
But...nothing beats cubic inches!
