Thumbs up

My dad is restoring his BMW 502 with a view to returning it to its former glory, which will be something like this...

BMW 502 -- work shop manual-bmw_502.jpg

He needs to get a better understanding of how the body panels are mounted / removed and is therefore after a "work shop manual". In other words, the documentation provided to BMW dealers to service the vehicle.

Anyone know where to find this or who we could ask to get hold of this "work shop manual" or something along those lines?

thanks
Pete

It is a cool car -- but unforetunately my car is not drivable at the moment.

Is anyone else able to help? We get hold of all sorts of 5er manuals etc, isn't this all from the same source?

please

I'll bump this one again -- anybody able to help out here, even if its only suggestions on where to look for a work shop manual for classic BMWs, in particular the BMW 502?

Have you tried this place..? Is normally a good source to find rare material! Actually the say they have the worlds biggest collection!

K?ster Randers

You could also look at Bilbasen.dk. There has been for a long time a silver Barock angel for sale. This seller has been doing a restoration of his car totally and could maybe help with material!

Darn. We should have asked about this when we were at the Museum.

I would contact BMW in M?nchen and ask for help.

Hi xBMWx,

there is a manual for the 502 series (1957) on the German eBay site. The price looks reasonable at ~ 30 Euros.

Here is the link: http://cgi.ebay.de/BMW-501-502-503-507-Werkstatthandbuch-_W0QQitemZ160367578045QQcmdZViewItemQQimsxZ20091009?IMSfp=TL091009152003r2511
Good luck with the project!
