Exactly my thoughts also. I'm afraid with how things are going here that in 2050, we will have some sort of personal train carriages that we program to drive to the nearest docking station to connect up to flex trains to bring us to the docking station closest to our destination. From there the carriage will move slowly to our final destination. Forget the steering wheel, the pedals, forget the windscreen. You'll be watching a videoscreen with your favorite websites.
