So a guy at work I always park to has a S4. My car does not have enough power for me and the miles are climbing so I may sell it soon. I was never really a audi fan in the past but his s4 is badass. It got my considering a S line as my next car. I know this is probably the wrong place to ask on a BMW forum but can any past owners chime in? I may look into it, maybe a RS4 too. I saw one at a local dealer recently for a great price. It was the newer style RS4 for like 27k. How do they drive?

They drive very well. If you have any back issues of Roundel they did a comparison test of the E46 M3 with the then current RS4 and the Audi if I remember correctly came out slightly ahead. Either way, the RS4 is a great car - the V8 S4 and RS4 (and the new S5) have wonderful exhaust notes and handle well. Well worth a look, and as you say there are some pretty good deals out there.

S line is not a model, it's a package (mostly cosmetic) that can be had on most Audis.

Audi build quality is far inferior. That is the only gripe. If you don't like your BMW build quality (which is only ok) you will hate Audi. Other than that - awesome cars.

Completely disagree.

My friend has a new 09 A5. The build quilty is light years better than any BMW I have ever owned. Anywhere you look on the car, you can tell every piece was well thought out. The new Audi's are fanastic examples of German engineering.
