My Ride: 2005 530i upgraded to 2007 550i 12/20/06
Took delivery of 2008 M5 3/25/08 cf delete K&N filters, the rest stock.
The e39 540 has to be one of the best bargains out there if you are looking for a performance
sedan to drive everyday. They are a real sleeper! Thanks for the article.

My Ride: 2011, X6 Hybrid . Alpine White , every option. 20" Conti' NON runflats,OEM trunk spoiler , LUX V3 AE's , HP Thunder Fogs , custom front bumper reflector delete........
I still see my E39 540 around , that was a great car..............but I don't miss it

Model Year: 2018
I had two E39 V8s and will always have a soft spot in my heart for them...but...I don't really miss them much because I truly feel that the E60 is a better car all around...
