A 10/06 MT test reports 0-60 of 5.1; 1/4 ET of 13.6, and 1/4 TV of 104.3 for the 335i TT Coupe. I think that the car will be a good competitor for the 550i, and with a tiny pulley change, watch out. Of course, there's always the warranty issue. Maybe Dinan will offer a pulley change--which helps on the warranty issue a fair amount IMO. The only US test to date (RT 7/06) of the 550i shows 0 -60 of 5.0; 1/4 ET of 13.5; and 1/4 TV of 105.0

Forget the underdrive pulleys... I want Dinan to release a re-map to increase the boost pressure. That should be good for quite a bit of extra hp.

Right, that would be dandy too. I'm in.

mmm... you and ZnoD seem to know something (many things) I don't... What's this about underdrive pulleys? I've done a quick search, but I can't find much (this is the only thread where both terms appear)

I would have thought re-mapping would be pretty straightforward, given what people are pulling out of diesels these days...

Ah - sorry. Prior post appeared just before I posted this! Thanks, Roleez

The latest is that Dinan doesn't like remaps much either. Just wishful thinking on both parts probably.

An underdrive pulley will change the boost pressure to yield more hp. One rule of thumb is that a 1 psi increase, which usually is safe, yields about 30 FWHP.
