I just read in the BMW LACC magazine, "The Whispering Bomb", the the next M3 will go V8 with around 450hp.
Now that car will really go. Now maybe that will be next on my list.

My 2006 M3 purchase will be put on hold for awhile due to the arrival of my 2004 Corvette Z06 Commemorative Edition.

^^^^For the smaller size compared to the M5, you're exactly right.
I couldn't wait for 400hp so I bought a 2004 Corvette Z06 Commemorative Edition with a huge year end discount.
It's a beast.
