Nice! Pleaded no contest when I got my court date. (80 in 45). - No fine - no points. The judge must have been having a good day

There was an Iranian guy with an M3 and he had quite the collection of tickets. He got his license suspended for 3 months that day

Nice! I want a coupe/manual. I have just never owned a manual, and after I drove my friends 328i stick, I was hooked
Also, manuals are more robust and have a longer lifespan than auto boxes. Also, never again in my life as long as I live will I ever again buy a Jet Black BMW. It is a BI*CH maintain

On the new M3 with the DCT, I would probably go for the DCT though
Yeah the only reason I went for my car, is because it came with an extended warranty. I only looked at SMG's if they had extended warraties. I was a manual diehard before my E60, but this SMG was calling my name. It is really is fun to drive. With DSC off, sport mode on, and S6 tranny mode, the car is an animal.

Hahaha sweet! So how fast/smooth are the shifts compared to the simple manual mode on the Steptronic? Or is your E60 stick?

I had an auto in my E60. You should test drive an SMG, along with the manual. It is nothing like the steptronic mode on the auto. The SMG literally feels like a manual gearbox, but it is working the clutch for you. It is hard to explain unless you drive a SMG M-car. DCT is the same way, but it just has a dual-clutch.

...decisions, decisions.... I try to test drive but will probably settle for the manual I think. I just need the satisfaction on throwing the gear shift.

So which one is faster? Assuming of course that you are good at manual.

The SMG is faster than most people can shift a manual, and the DCT is faster than ANYONE can shift a manual. Check the 0-60 times and you'll see the DCT is quicker than a 6spd, which is rarely the case. I have driven all three, and the DCT is just lightning fast. It is honestly like playing Xbox. You hit the paddle and 0.07 seconds later it shifts.

Yea the DCT is lightning fast! I think if I would get a E46 M3, I would still get the manual though
