Hi All
Haven't been on here for a while as I'm no longer a 5 series owner.
I have changed my much loved 535d Sport Touring for one of these beasts :-
This arrived on the 1st March. We were also supposed to get the Mrs' new car that day too but unfortunately it was damaged on the boat on the way over so we rejected it. A new one was express built and here it is
And finally having been offered a very good p/ex price on my old Lotus I am hoping that I should receive a new one of these just like below on Friday this week
The X5 is a 3.0SD (so the same engine as my old 535d) M Sport. Carbon Black stacked up with extras such as Media and Vis packs, pan roof, reversing camera, 20" wheel upgrade, speaker upgrade etc etc. I absolutely love this car and does not feel it's size in terms of handling or performance.
The TT is a 3.2 Quattro S-tronic (new name for DSG) with Sat Nav plus, Xenons, wheel upgrade......etc. The sound this thing makes is awesome and the gearbox is out of this world, I just love the way it blips the throttle on a down change in gear !
The Exige is an S model which means it is supercharged. Tests say 60mph in 4.1 secs and 100 in under 10. Looking forward to it and have my first track day on the 24th May which means I need to get a 1000 miles on it in a month so it can have it's first service.
Anyway better go and do some busking now as I need to pay for this lot somehow !
