545i costs SGD 317000.00
M5 is selling at SGD 470000.00

All cars cost much more here than elsewhere. I pay a tax of SGD 5800 annually to keep the car on the road.

Damn thats absolutely crazy. I went to high school in Singapore till 2003 so i know cars cost alot...my mom and sis are still there. Damn...an S320 cost 320,000SGD, about the same price as a 545!!!! Pity no place to test the speed in Singapore though, the cops there are crazy...Good car though....love the Schnitzer rims u got.....are they 19 or 20??? is ride alot worse than stock 18's??

I find the 19" that I have okay. Of course the 16" would be much more confy, but I've got no complaints so far

Jeffs,
PML charges a 50 to 75% premium over US prices on OEM parts and accessories, if they agree to bring in the parts in the first place. Some aftermarket parts, like SuperSprint exhausts, are actually cheaper here than in the US. It depends whether the brand has a serious importer, or some wanker who is out to emulate PML's policy of ripping off the customer.
I only pay S$3,020 per year road tax on my puny 3.0l. My 530i only cost S$252,000, but it is fully optioned except for HUD, and NAV. List price was S$245,000 at the time I bought it.
Enjoy your cars while you're there. At least you can't be caned for having fun with cars overseas!

Edlee,
I recall reading somewhere in this forum that Egypt has even higher car taxes than Singapore. At least they might be able to get HUD and NAV there.
