Tough luck w/ the broken ankle, I'm actually dealing w/ that myself (3 separate breaks, 1 plate, total of 10 screws). What's funny is, I'm hopefully about to pull the trigger on a car I've never even driven (6spd 04 545) and won't be able to drive myself for the first month or so. Is your 550i manual?
