Newbie with e60 AWD with some mods on the project board
Hey guys, I wanted to say hi to all of you for being an awesome community. There is no way I can show you how grateful I am to be part of this forum. I have received helpful information from all of you more times that I can count and I would like to be involved in lending a helping to other bimmer drivers.
I am driving a 09 535i Xdrive and I love every inch of it. I think I am going to keep this car around for a long time and I have decided to seriously work on it to make it fit my needs and wants. I have installed the RPi air scoop, JB4, an a meth kit (nothing to crazy, this is a daily driver). I am currently working on installing a computer and a bigger LCD screen for both the computer and the CCC (I did the CIC retrofit, but got bored with it, so I sold it and started working on the project. I will open another thread to present the progress of the project and to serve as a community diy for all those who want to make something with their cars.
Right now my car is around 95k miles, running with two leaky injectors (3 and 4 to be precise), clogged cats (I assume the front cats melted because of the fuel leak) and a differential that is making grinding noises louder than an old washing machine. I am going to be taking care of the injector/cat problem soon, and leave the differential for a more pertinent occasion.
Anyways, thank you for being awesome guys!
