My Ride: 04 545A Dynamic Drive Pkg (Active Steering; Active Stabilization) Sport Pkg, Premium Sound, CD Changer, Rain sensor wipers, Red Rear reflectors
Hello everyone..
I Ordered an in stock Silver/Grey with black interior 545i last saturday and expect delivery this Wed. Sport, Premium, Dynamic Drive (AS and Active anti-roll) packages. Standard automatic instead of SMG as there was only 1 demo SMG in all of Toronto that I could test drive and I couldn't quite get the hang of SMG.
... dealer installed options: 6 disc CD changer and 35%tint on the side and 20% on the rear windshield... and waiting to hear if the dealer can install the bluetooth phone kit in time for Wed delivery.
This will be my first BMW..hope it will be reliable and provide me with years of reliable service.
I was considering an S4 and almost went for it... but after an extended test drive, it was obvious that it's too noise and the ride is way too harsh for me. (better than the M3 though)
Come to think of it, I should have gotten a non-sport package but with the Dynamic Drive package... smooth ride on normal drive and have the Active anti-roll when charging on/off highway ramps. (yes, you can order this combo in Canada, .. but the two available are Titanium Grey which I find to be too dark and will easily show swirl marks.
So look out for this newbie to ask newbie questions in the coming days

Welcome, yogibear458. You will find lots of answers in this forum. Most in the forum have had a good experience with the E60. I would imagine that yours will be the same. For example, I have had mine over five months without even one mechanical flaw or fault.

Are you buying a model year 2004 or 2005? If it's a 2004 and the dealer can install a BMW Bluetooth kit, you'll be the first in North America. Keep us posted.

Welcome! I have been a member for a week and getting hooked, I only wish I was a member before I ordered my car, I would have changed some things, I guess I will Make the changes on the next one.

Yes, welcome! You'll find all these guys very helpful, very friendly, very opinionated, very funny. It's better than t.v....most of the time! Post pics when you pick up your car!
