Hi to everyone !

Been lurking on here, gathering info while I have been looking to replace my 2004 BMW E46 320Cd M sport

Glad to report I have found a near enough spec E60 for my liking after looking for nearly 2 months. Just picked the beauty up from Leeds BMW :-)

2006 BMW 525D M sport.
Manual
Carbon Black
172 wheels
Prof Sat Nav - 6 CD changer and bluetooth
Black leather - front seat heating
Visability pack
Titanium trim - they changed this for me as it was the dark popular wood
M tech rear spoiler
Folding mirrors
Voice pack
Interior light pack.

Only done about 100 miles so far but loving it, ride is very smooth, was expecting it to be a little firmer, steering feels very light compared the M sport 320 Coupe but I guess it will take time to get dailled in to the new car
Will post up some pictures if you guys are interested.

Great forum with loads of info for the newbie like me !

Cheers

Clinty

Congrats! It's the 172 wheels without runflats that give you that fantastic ride... The thumpflats are atrocious!

Great spec! Those 172m wheels definitely look awesome with your m-sport package but just a pain when you clean it and watch out the kurb as well!!
Any pics of your new ride btw?

Welcome again!

Guys

The weather here has been dreadful, I currently work up in Glasgow and live in York, the car has done a fair bit of commuting since I bought it ! Hopefully the weekend will clear up and I will get change to get out into the garage and mint her up for you guys to see.

Still miss my e46 Msport, the drive feels very removed of the 5er, don't feel in full control, it does feel better the faster you go but the feedback on the steering is very vague. But the family love the space and I like the extra poke from the 6 cylinder! .

The dealers replaced the dark wood trim for the titainum trim for me and sadly the drivers door trim has broken already ! hope this is not a sign of things to come, the dealers have offered to replace FOC but then again I think they should !

Another question, the dealers have not yet come up with a replacement trim for in between the seats that fronts on to the rear seat passengers, currently it is the dark wood they tell me that it is not available in the titanium finish and is in black finish only - is this correct ?? Cannot see anything on the BMW web site.

Top site btw, love all this info !

Cheers

Clinty
