Hi,
I have just joined as I picked up my e60 yesterday so I am very newby.
Its a 530d auto 03 with plently of options which will be a big step up for me coming from a v reg manual 1.6 astra club
So far I am more than pleased with it, I had a bit of a moment after picking it up, about 5 miles away i get a flat tyre warning! its on run flats so stopped at a petrol station and checked the pressures. Drove for about 20 miles and checked the pressure again, there was a difference in one of the front tyres. Having never experienced run flats or a 5 series the tyre seemed fine so I carried on home another 150 miles away.
I went to my local garage this morning to get the puncture repaired or a new tyre. Turns out that the tyres are fine, I assume the little bit of a wheel spin I did caused a false alarm, reset the sensors and all seems fine now!
There are a few things I will be looking for here, firstly there is a little judder through the steering wheel at slow speed when turning but not constantly. The other is when the gear changes between 1st and 2nd there is a bit of a jerk. And the last thing I have noticed is that there appears to be a bit of retardedness and rev bouncing pulling out of junctions like it cant decide what gear to use. I have a feeling that it might just be me not knowing how to drive it yet though.
If there is anythign I really should know I would appreciate any links to threads that I need to read, other than that I will be trawling through the posts allready here learning as much as possible.
I dont have a dvd for the sat nav, and only 1 key so will be looking into these items.

Thanks for the warm welcome.
Really? Its a standard 2003 e60 530d in Grey, after seeing alot of the cars here I would be worried about putting other members into a coma!

lol the norm here is no pics = ban (j/k), congrats on the tourqe monster, same car as mine same year same colour, is it silver grey?
How can I tell what navigation system it has, all I can see is that it asks for the map dvd which i dont have yet so need to find the correct one.
I took it to my local garage today and they did a diagnostic check, a few worrying faults came up but he cleared them before we could print them off, MAF, Alternator, 2 glow plugs, the brake switch and some others i forget. Will take it back on tuesday and see what faults have returned.

how big is the screen?
6inch and 1 dvd player = business nav ( poo)
8inch and 1 dvd, 1 cd player = Pro nav ( the best)
Nav discs are expensive at about ?250.
