Hello everyone,

I'm Art...I'm located in the Stafford/Woodbridge area, about 30 miles south of Washington, DC. If you are from area, please let me know.......also, I would like to know if there is a BMW club, or anything like that in the area...and if there isn't, it would be nice to get one started.

Sooooo....just two days ago I got a 2008 BMW 535i, and looking around for some good advice on my future upgrades. I'm that kind of person that LEARNS on other people mistakes, which means that I will value your opinion if you recommend/not recommend a certain product. I'm all about getting things done the RIGHT way first time around rather than screwing it up, then taking more time and $$$ to fix something that should of been done right in the first place.
This is my firts time in any type of forum, so I'm learning, and hope that it will become more user friendly for me.
I used to own a 04 BMW 325Ci, which later I traded for a Range Rover (terrible mistake) just to back to BMW...I hope that my experience with my 535 will be just as pleasurable, or even better than my old 325.

Near-future projects (now-1 year):
- angel eyes upgrade rings and very interesed in changing the amber LEDs on the eyebrow, but having hard time finding details about how to go about it
- M5, possibly M-Tech aeordynamic kit
- air intake
- some 20" after the winter is over

Far-future projects (after the near future is completed)
- exhaust
- software upgrade
- aftermarket back up camera or parking assist (since my didn't have PA)

Obviously things change.... so might the priorities, but the most important part is already done....I GOT THE 535i...(if I had the $$$, i would of got the 550, but I was already stretching the budget with the 535)

Anyway, thats about it for now... any good advice and info is appreciated.

V/R

Hey Art,

I just became a member 5mins ago and read your post. I live in Gaithersburg/rockville Maryland area, we're less than an hour apart. I too would like to know if there is a BMW club in the area. We could start our own e60 club, haha! I have two friends with e60's. I have an 05' 545i sport pkg. Looking to upgrade my stock 18" with 19" 128style wheels within two weeks.

Hi Art and Kris

Add another to your list. I am in Maryland and if you guys get together, let me know. In the meantime, check out nccbmwcca.org, a local BMW Chapter in Arlington that services MD, DC and Va.

Cheers

Derek

BMW CCA national capital chapter website looks pretty nice. Looks like they have an outing this Saturday in VA, I can't make it. Plus, I don't think I could go by myself. If you know what I mean...who's that guy just standing by his car...hahaha!

I went up to check their website... and its on my favorites now. There is actually couple things coming up in Dec, and Jan. The website also mentioned a weekly "cars and coffee" in Great Falls, VA and Fulton, MD.... I might take a trip over there. Stay in touch, we should pick one of those events and just meet up there I guess so I won't be the "new" guy all by myself.... hopefully Derek can join too. we will see.
