Shaking can ruin a 545 experience, I would imagine. Mine is a smooth as silk so something is definitely wrong. You can check the trueness of the wheels by spinning as each one is jacked up. Look for wobble. A good tire shop can check the roundness of the tires and the wheels for you. It would be worth the trip if the dealer won't do it.

All U.S. spec e60 have a spare.
How many miles are on your car?? People have gotten anywhere from 8K to 22K on a factory set of tires depending on driving style. From the pictures your wheels look like Style 124 which are standard on 545( Minus the chrome). So the previous owner either had the factory wheels refinished of traded them for replicas of the real thing. If the mileage is low enough I'd bet they are the original tires.

Update. The dealer found that both of my 18" rear chromes are bent, and are replacing at their cost. I don't know if I should be happy that the dealer is coughing up that much cake for new wheels, or concerned that the previous owner f'ed up the car bad enough to bend both of the rear wheels?

All BMW's are extremely sensitive with the wheel balance. Therefore it is recommended that you only use original (or other high quality) wheels.
The other thing is; If you read the US E60 brouchyre there's a warning for low-profile tires:
"Due to low-profile tires, please note: wheels, tires and suspension parts are more susceptible to road hazard and consequential damages.
Performance tires not recommended for driving in ice and snow."
And about the tires, if possible, get rid of those Run-flat tires. They are hard do to the steel rim inside and they weigh much more than regular tires.
You'll find a lot of writings about this matter elsewhere in this forum.
